Current and Recurring Grants:
INDIAN HEALTH SERVICE (IHS) FY2014 [$389,137]: Funding provides for the delivery of health services via the Contract Health Service mechanism and provides outreach services to the beneficiary population of the Coyote Valley Reservation within the Tribe’s service area.
HUD NAHASDA-IHBG FY2014 – Multiyear [$477,951; $8,100.00 modification]:. Funding provides for adequate, safe, affordable housing and housing opportunities to low and moderate income members of the Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians residing on the reservation and within the Tribe’s service area. Provides for crime prevention programs, tribal housing maintenance, student rental assistance, homeless prevention and rental deposit assistance.
BIA 638 – CTGP (Consolidated Tribal Government Program) FY2015 [$173,464]: Funding aides the Tribal Government for the purpose of tribal administrative services; other human services assistance funds such as food and utilities, education assistance in the form of limited dollars for college and vocational education, community fire protection service funds and Indian Child Welfare Act support and Fee to Trust support funds.
DHHS PL 111-117 LIHEAP FY2014/2015 [$5,038]: This Low Income Housing Energy Assistance Program funds utility payment assistance program for tribal members who meet low income criteria.
EPA- PERFORMANCE PARTNERSHIP GRANT (GAP, CWA – 106 and CWA 319 programs) 10/01/2014 – 09/30/2015 [$837,361; $24,000.00 supplemental]: for surface water pollution control and base point source pollution control. Its funds are used for salaries, equipment and supplies. Received a supplemental award to purchase a modular building to house EPA Department.
Institute of Museum & Library Services grant 07/01/2012 – 06/30/2015 [$21,000]: Grant renewed and awaiting grant award. This grant provides funds for the purchase of books, magazines, supplies and limited staffing for the Tribes’ Learning Center Library.
USDA Summer Food Reimbursement program [on-going reimbursable]: Funding provides reimbursement on number of summertime lunches and after school meals served to children residing on the Coyote Valley Reservation who might not otherwise be able to have a nutritious lunch.
CTAS TRGP – Equipment/Training 9/1/2011 – 8/31/2015 [$387,174]; New Award 09/01/2014 – 08/31/2017 [$95,373]: Funds additional tribal police vehicle(s) (2) and the cost of retro fit equipment for each vehicle.Also included are costs for updating officer and department equipment. Grant includes covering travel and training costs for all DOJ recommended and required training.
CTAS TRGP – Hiring 09/01/2011 – 08/31/2015 [$604,767]; New Award to hire a new officer 09/01/2014-08/31/2017 [$198,243.00]: Funds the wages and related employee benefit costs of three full-time tribal police officers. A budget modification was completed in the amount of $30,000.00 to cover the cost of the contracted dispatch services through the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Department. The Tribe was granted a 1-year no-cost extension to 8/31/2015 in order to acquire the remainder of the equipment and training specified under this grant.
BIA Climate Change /Natural Resource Project 10/1/2014 – 09/01/2015 [$18,647; $110,00.00] : Provides money for travel and training to create a climate change adaptation plan. It has been augmented to include natural resource funding for a hydro-geologic and biological survey of the Russian River bank including modeling so that grants may be applied for to stabilize the bank.

BIA Tribal Transportation Program [$175,000.00 estimated]: Preparation of a Tribal Transportation Plan and provides for transportation and roads related expenses on tribal land. Awaiting award.
