Taking Back Our Community: Opioid Abuse Education and Prevention

Taking Back Our Community: Opioid Abuse Education and Prevention

The Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians is teaming up the Safe RX Mendocino Opioid Safety Coalition to help support and help provide community education/safety for all our tribal nations and community members.
The MISSION of RX Mendocino: Together we focus on preventing opioid abuse and reducing opioid related stigma: PATIENTS receive superior pain medication management, medication-assisted treatment for opioid addiction/dependency and holistic support, PHYSICIANS implement safe prescribing practices, LAW ENFORCEMENT carries opioid antidote Naloxone, and YOUTH are an integral force in opioid education and prevention, and the COMMUNITY experiences safety and well-being.

Our VISION is a healthy community that is free of opioid abuse and related stigma. A community that provides equitable access to integrated treatment and resources.

Together, we are trying to bring awareness to prescriptions in our communities. As part of our community engagement, we are hosting a free 3 on 3 tournament.
