Pomo Pathways Pilot Project
Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians and Mendocino College are collaborating on a pilot project called POMO PATHWAYS. POMO PATHWAYS is a three semester sequence of classes offered by Mendocino College that takes students from pre-college level through college-level math and English and prepares them to pursue a degree.  These courses are for everyone who needs entry level courses, especially parents who want to start a new career or go back to college.  This pilot project is for recent high school graduates or community members who have been out of school for an extended period of time.  There is no testing, no placement and no GED required to enroll in these courses. Through our collaboration with Mendocino College we have committed to provide multi-level support to our participants.  Mendocino College has pledged to provide onsite childcare, textbooks, a book bag, calculators, school supplies, fee tutoring, academic and mental health counseling.  In addition Coyote Valley will provide the facilities and breakfast for students and children each day of class. Classes will be held a the Coyote Valley Education Center and Digital Media Lab on the Coyote Valley Reservation in Redwood Valley.  Classes are scheduled to begin Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 A.M to 12:30…

NEW CASINO AND HOTEL PROJECTS GROUNDBREAKING AT THE COYOTE VALLEY RESERVATION
June 16, 2017 We are proud to be able to bring our Membership together to make new memories and celebrate great beginnings. On Saturday June 3, 2017 our families, friends and amazing staff took part in making history by breaking ground for the new Coyote Valley Casino facility and Wyndam Garden Hotel projects.  The ceremony began with many thanks to the Tribe’s Elders, former Council Members and all those helping to make this all happen.  Our Tribal Members, staff and community members enjoyed the day with a blessing of the land, plenty of food and raffle prizes. We have been blessed by the Creator and we thank everyone who came and participated in this momentous event. Coyote Valley is moving up and going forward with good things. HOWL YEAH!...
